According to official studies, there is a billion-euro renovation backlog in sports facilities throughout Germany. This also demonstrably applies to smaller ice rinks, many of which are between 30 and 50 years old. Only through extensive, sustainable renovations or through sustainable new buildings can future-oriented solutions be created as a basis for ice sports.
This is the fourth public event organised by the German Ice Hockey Association, the North Rhine-Westphalia Ice Hockey Association and the IAKS as part of FSB 2023. The focus will be on sustainability and ways to implement sustainable concepts. Therefore, we invite representatives of ice hockey clubs, sports associations, politics, the construction industry, financiers, project developers and other interested parties from Germany and abroad to provide all interested parties with input on their plans or thoughts.
