IAKS Pool Expert Circle discussed Covid-19 implications

16 participants from seven countries exchanged about operational ideas, engineering solutions for optimizing air ventilation, as well as possible implications on the future design for pools. Examples show that client numbers of up to 80 % compared to the pre-pandemic situation can be achieved.

Thorn was tasked with the installation of a new LED floodlight system and main stand lighting addition at the Opel Arena, home of the 1. FSV Mainz 05 football club. New IOC guide fosters Sustainability Management in Sports

The guide intends to help organisations within the Olympic Movement implement sustainability more securely, addressing issues such as climate change and biodiversity loss, economic inequality and social injustice. The guidelines will help National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and International Federations (IFs) integrate sustainability into their operations and events.
