Inauguration of the Olympic House

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has officially inaugurated its new headquarters on 23 June during the celebration of Olympic Day. The Olympic House allows the IOC to bring together its staff – 500 employees currently spread across Lausanne in four locations – under one roof at a single site. Designed by the consortium of architecture firms 3XN and IttenBrechbühl, the emblematic building is a CHF 145 million privately funded investment. The building has received three of the most rigorous sustainable building certifications and has therefore become one of the most sustainable buildings in the world.
