Hybrid training is training on combined natural and synthetic ice. This provides ice hockey players, and especially up-and-coming players, with additional resources for practising their sport. In future, it will no longer be natural ice "or" synthetic ice, but "and".

The product LIKE-ICE! plus 7 is self-lubricating with about 80% of the glide of real ice. According to the manufacturer it ensures the same skating posture as on ice.

International Ice Facilities Expert Circle met for first time

Inaugural meeting of the Ice Facilities Expert Circle, hosted by HDR architect and former professional hockey player Mark Hentze. IAKS Vice President Conrad Boychuk had invited international experts who design, supply, install and operate ice facilities either permanent or temporary. The participants identified differences between North American and European approaches.

Many visitors to the ice rinks of the future will rub their eyes in amazement at an ice resurfacing machine that can operate while the driver’s seat remains empty. This is the result of the innovative approach to ice resurfacing machines by the manufacturer WM ice technics of South Tyrol in Italy.
