IAKS member City of Coquitlam (CAD) hosted a four-part lecture series in June 2021 to discuss trends and innovations in public recreation facilities for its future Recreation and Cultural Facilities Road Map. These free, live-streamed and recorded events were focused on industry-specific topics.
Each lecture included locally and internationally practising professionals in recreation who contributed their expertise in their respective fields. The discussions allowed for multiple perspectives on a range of different topics including designing for aquatics, sports, ice arenas, and seniors and youth.
The lectures are intended to be educational events that encourage collaboration of specializations, ideas, and visions for the future.
