IAKS online: Sports floors: planning, construction, operation

On October 7, 2025, IAKS Germany invites you to the online seminar 'Sports Floors – Planning, Construction, Operation.' In three compact presentations, we will highlight key aspects of modern sports floor planning – from selecting suitable materials and meeting technical requirements to operational experiences.

Tobias Eisenbraun, as an experienced planner, provides practical insights into typical decision-making processes, planning errors, and the selection of floorings such as PU, linoleum, or parquet. The focus also includes topics such as cleaning, wall padding connections, and the comparison between area-elastic and point-elastic systems.

Dennis Frank, sports facility inspector, subsequently conveys normative knowledge on emissions, fire protection, and cleaning – including current requirements and typical inspection findings.

Finally, Sascha Häsler from TV Großwallstadt reports on experiences with an innovative glass floor realized together with the municipality. In addition to playing experience, feedback from everyday training, and visual effects, the presentation also covers operational effort, financing, and lessons learned for other municipalities.
