Cutting-edge multipurpose venue with ceramic skin

Roig Arena in Valencia

The new EUR 400 million Roig Arena transforms an underutilised district of this historic port city on Spain’s Mediterranean coast into an international cultural destination that acts as Valencia’s collective living room. The design integrates a 58,500 m² multipurpose venue with a new two-hectare public park, creating a civic anchor that invites year-round use. HOK collabo­rated with the Valencia-based architecture studio ERRE to design an arena that transcends conventional sports and entertainment venues. 

The arena is part of a larger transformation that includes leisure, educational and public realm developments. Instead of standing as an isolated facility, the building energises the community and attracts visitors from all over the world.
