Strong interest in IAKS presentations at ‘Träffpunkt Idrott’

The ‘Träffpunkt Idrott’ sports summit is Nordic's leading forum for public health through physical activity. IAKS Nordic acted once again as co-organizer and gathered international IAKS experts on 12 March who shared their latest findings. The ‘international day’ saw presentations from Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Sports have a strong position in the city. Helsinki is home to many active sports clubs, and the facility network is versatile and extensive. It includes, for example, swimming facilities, indoor ice rinks, cross-country skiing routes, and multiple indoor and outdoor facilities originally built for the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952.

Exciting tour to six inspiring facilities

Teaming up with the City of Gothenburg, IAKS Nordic organized a 1-day study tour to a total of six facilities in Sweden's capital, leading to Kviberg Ice and Sports Hall, Serneke Arena, Beachvolleyball Center, Slottsskogsvallen arena, Entréparken activity park and Östermalmshallen Padel. The Twenty-six Nordic and international participants gained exclusive insights.
