Simon is the Director of Facilities in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management at the University of Manitoba. He has worked in the sports and recreation field for over 23 years. He has extensive experience in facilities management, planning and operations. He currently oversees over 1 million square feet of physical space, both indoor and outdoor facilities. Simon is a proven leader in providing world-class facilities in the areas of sports and recreation. These facilities are vital to the university’s ability to not only maintain a top quality academic and research environment, but also provide extensive leisure, recreation, and sport opportunities to students, faculty and staff, alumni, and the broader community. Simon was actively involved in the design and construction of the Active Living Centre, which opened its doors in February 2015.
