The YAYLA ARENA in Krefeld, one of the most traditional locations for German ice hockey, hosted the 18th IAKS Ice Rink Management Conference. After a five-month postponement of the event, 90 operators, technical experts and suppliers of ice rink products were apparently happy to meet again in person and to discuss current issues.
The three-day event was dominated by topics around the Covid-19 pandemic. Not only for the organizers of IAKS and YAYLA ARENA, who ensured a safe conference with a comprehensive hygiene concept, spatial measures for social distancing, health declarations to be signed by the participants and daily attendance and contact lists. Above all, many ice rink operators who are currently in the re-opening phase had high demand for concepts and information on safe ice rink operation.
