New member: Hagedorn, Bad Essen (Germany)
Hagedorn is a smaller company specializing in movement-education space concepts for the architectural planning of gymnasiums, play and sports halls, and multi-purpose sports facilities. To this end, Hagedorn expands purely sport-focused room functions and connects different movement activities.
Only through the specific arrangement of individual pieces of equipment does an interplay of wall-, ceiling-, and floor-mounted installations emerge. This creates an overall ensemble with a strong invitation to move and offers rich possibilities for lesson concepts.
For more than 30 years, the company’s portfolio has also included gymnastics equipment programmes, developed, manufactured, and distributed based on the original “Bewegungsbaustelle” concept by Klaus Miedzinski. Together with Oldenburg architect Jürgen Koch - one of the key initiators of the “gym/multi-purpose hall” model of the future - Hagedorn also designed the new facility type known as the “Turnhaus,” where users can explore a wide variety of movement forms in a “human-ecological” atmosphere.
