From planning to operation – selected projects and white papers from sb 5/2026 discussed live
The sb Webinars 2026 continue the conversation beyond the pages of the magazine, bringing architects, planners, operators and public-sector representatives together for a closer look at the ideas and decisions shaping sports and leisure facilities.
Across the sessions, speakers share key considerations from planning and design, experiences from implementation and use, and the challenges of balancing sustainability, inclusion, cost, space and operational needs. Together with IAKS experts, the webinars offer practical perspectives and ideas that can inform future projects.
The focus is on practical questions: How can inclusion be considered from the beginning? Where do tensions arise between sustainability, cost, space and user needs? How can planning decisions support future operation and long-term adaptability? And which ideas and approaches may be relevant to other projects?
The programme brings together several focused webinar sessions in November 2026. Each webinar lasts approximately 60 minutes and combines a project or white paper presentation with moderated discussion, perspectives from IAKS experts and questions from the audience.
