Directly after the congress session "The activating way to Brisbane 2032 and beyond", guest country Australia invites all IAKS members, friends and interested parties to a Happy Hour at the IAKS stand. Our experts from "down under" Martin Sheppard (Smart Connection Consultancy), Irina Akhmanova (Populous), RJ Houston (Royal Life Saving Society), Andrew Sly (Sport and Recreation & Corporate Services Queensland Government), and Philip Saikaly (Sport and Recreation Victoria) will be available for discussions in a casual setting.
IAKS Vice President Yvette Audet will give an insight into the future activities of the IAKS in Australia and New Zealand, first and foremost the congress event "Inspire innovation - drive participation" planned together with the NSC (National Sports and Physical Activity Convention) from 27 to 28 June 2024 in Melbourne. This year, the NSC had a record attendance of 1,550 participants over two days.
The winners of this year's IOC IPC IAKS Architecture Prize are also expected at the happy hour. Take the opportunity to chat with the visionary architects and operators of the exemplary sports and leisure facilities before they receive their awards on stage afterwards. The festive awards ceremony with a 3-course menu and entertainment programme will take place directly opposite in the festive Konrad Adenauer Hall from 6:30 pm.
