Water and flora appear on both horizontal and vertical surfaces of the spa: the water in the pools, the lawn, the water curtains and the plant-covered walls. The 5,624 m² water surface creates an artistic composition of “fold­ed up” spaces, introducing the visitors into this immersive water world as if entering a grand ­oasis.

The existing bathing facility on the Wörnitz was to be upgraded and the dilapidated entrance building and the equally run-down bridge were to be replaced by new structures. A new wooden walkway now interconnects all the existing and newly erected buildings and attractions.

The winter bathing house measures 110 m² and contains a bath and changing room, sauna, barrier-free toilet, community room with kitchenette and a wooden terrace with outdoor shower, bathing jetty and stairs down to the cold water of the harbour basin.

Making a virtue out of necessity, MBYland has turned the hill which otherwise would have been a functional connection between the ground level and the first floor into an activity area. It also serves as a stand for outdoor lessons or games played on the big field in front of it.

Reflecting the typical landscapes of the region in southeast Siberia, such as mountains, lakes, steppes and boreal forests, the play landscape can be used all year round, adapting to the extreme weather conditions. It looks simple and natural, yet its organisation and simplicity provide the maximum opportunity for the development of children’s imagination.

Trail centres are being developed with the vision of creating a sports facility for all kinds of sports in parks and natural areas. They bring together many outdoor sports functions in one place in one centre. It is a type of facility that completely rethinks sports communities.
