IAKS UK Event 2020 in Birmingham, 9 June

The new GBP 50M sport centre of the University of Birmingham will be hosting the next IAKS UK event which is scheduled for 9 June 2020. The state-of-the-art sports centre encompasses a unique raft of facilities, including Birmingham’s only 50-m-swimming pool, as well as a large multi-sport hall, a range of activity and fitness studios, a very extensive gym, and six glass-backed squash courts. Director of Sport Zena Wooldridge will give an insight in the special features of the building.

The event will kick off with introducing sessions on City sport event legacy and Active cities respectively. UK Active CEO Huw Edwards will give an update on his organisation’s activities on how to get more people, more active, more often. Look forward to the success stories on how to improving the health of the nation through promoting active lifestyles. The day will be rounded up by best practices from Denmark.
