With the founding of the recycling company FormaTurf, a sister company of Polytan, the material life cycle of artificial turf systems has finally been closed. Now the company will take over the removal and complete recycling of the artificial turf, including the recycling of all its materials, i.e. the infill and the sand.

Restricting PAHs in granules and mulches

The restriction was supported by EU Member States in December 2020 and adopted by the Commission in July 2021. From 10 August 2022, it prohibits the placing on the market and use of granules and mulches as infill if they contain more than 20 mg/kg of the sum of the eight PAHs.
