Urban planning crucial for better public health in cities

A new sourcebook guides health and planning practitioners on putting health at the heart of urban and territorial planning. It has been launched by the World Health Organisation WHO and the UN-HABITAT division of the United Nations for a better urban future. Download free of charge.

IAKS Nordic presenting at TRÄFFPUNKT IDROTT, 17-19 March in Gothenburg, Sweden

The largest trade fair and conference for sports facilities in the Nordic countries is held at the trade fair ground Svenska Mässan. For the second time, IAKS Nordic is presenting at Träffpunkt Idrott. This year, IAKS Nordic is hosting four seminars at the conference, all of which will be presented in English.

The revitalised "Norikus Bay" waterfront park in Nürnberg, Germany has a bathing cove as well as features including a fitness trail and a water playground. Both of these activity areas have been covered with high-quality synthetic surfaces from Polytan, duly adapted to the specific requirements.

Interdisciplinary exchange at the highest level

Global trends in sports and leisure facility development and trail-blazing projects were the focus of this year’s IAKS Congress. On the four days of the Congress, national and international experts identified the ideas and solutions that "facilitate an active world".
