What was up in 2019?

Global trends in sports and leisure facility development and trail-blazing projects were the focus of this year’s IAKS Congress. On the four conference days, national and international experts identified ideas and solutions that "facilitate an active world". Case studies and success stories were presented in panel discussions, lectures and workshops. The very latest topics such as „Developing active cities“, „Indoor recreational facilities for future generations“, „Social and financial sustainability of public pools“, and „ Activating the public realm for all ages“ captured the imagination of some 470 participants from 36 countries. 41 international experts from nine countries presented architectural and operative solutions for top sporting achievement, health awareness and an active lifestyle.
